I'm a new member from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I'm a civil engineer by trade, but I grew up around my grandmother who always had huge vegetable gardens and lots of indoor plants. I've just started to get interested in gardening and landscaping around my house and want to learn more about what grows best in my zone as well as how to care for my favorite house plants as I'm wanting to fill my house with more greenery and natural color.
I'd also like to know more about the plants (like wooly lambs ear, aloe, etc.) that have natural healing abilities.
I've been reading a lot on the site and forums and there is so much information and so many knowledgeable folks on here I'm excited to jump in.
