Irises
I had gotten some rhizomes last year maybe even some the year before and never got them in the ground. I figured I would at least try and bring them back, they still had roots, dried out roots but still they were there. Last week I soaked them for a couple hours in water with a few drops of superthrive and then put them in small pots. I periodically have looked for any signs of life and a couple days ago I noticed a bit of green at the bottom of one. Today they both have a decent amount of new growth so I am cautiously optimistic and excited. Yesterday I repeated the process with 6 other rhizomes I had gotten at about the same time, only time will tell.....

Irises are tough little plants. They should begin to come back! Thumbs up Crossing Fingers!

I actually have a couple few irises sitting in a small bit of water as well. Not enough to cause rot, but to refill the roots so I can plant them in pots in a few days or weeks from now.

Last year, I dug up a whole bed of rhizomes (old reliables of who knows what lineage). I never got around to disposing of them, just left the rhizomes sitting on the side of a gravel road. They put down roots and have buds! So much for getting rid of them.
