Thread OP

I received an Orange tank Bromeliad Guzman as a gift. It bloomed beautifully for 4 months. I have never had this type of plant before. The bloom is now graying and curling up with the stalk starting to lean. There is one pup. My question is do I somehow try to remove the spent bloom? Maybe when I separate the pup? Thank You!
