Thread OP

Hello everyone!

I recently picked up a bunch of GG Arborvitae's to use as a privacy screening along my fence. My wife and I centered them between fence panels which ended up putting them 8 feet apart. I have a feeling that it was a mistake due to wanting privacy ASAP. My wife is saying that it will be fine due to them getting so large. But from what I have seen the only time people space them out so much is when they are doing staggered rows. Which I do not have the room for. Does anyone have any input they can give on the subject? I need a fairly solid "wall" only about 4 - 6 feet or so over my privacy fence (6 foot), do you guys think the width of them could accomplish that eventually? If not my only option is to plant more but that would end up making them only 4 foot apart at centers. I am not sure how close they can be planted but yet stay healthy.

Thanks for the help!
