Do red flowering plumerias typically have less sap than other colors? I have a red that was growing in a sort of deformity that I decided to prune off. I cut off about 18", just to try to root the cutting as well, and there was little to no sap excreted from the fresh cut. My other plumies leak like faucets whenever they are cut in any manner. Any insight would be helpful.
