Black Tacca (Black Bat Plant) are starting to bloom!

I love those, I check them out when at Leu Gardens. They had them for sale at a local nursery last year, but wanted way too much for them.

My black ones reseed themselves. My white and green ones have to be propagated by division

I grew them for years and loved the ethereal look of the white one. It reminded me of an old fashioned bridal veil. For some reason I never favored the black Taccas.

The black ones are lower to the ground and don;t hold their flowers up high. The white are so much more 'regal'

I've never seen them in White.

I had mine so long ago I don't think I have any photos. All I remember was mine was more white than two toned. Maybe the burgundy parts were just smaller but mine was predominately snow white, especially the prominent anthers (?)

Wow, I like the white, very nice plant indeed.

Hard to grow as a houseplant though
