I LOVE me a totem of any kind. Here's a syngonium podophyllum albo variegata growing on a small moss pole I made from PVC; lining the stem up and then down to make it look bushy :)

I love that! I have that plant and also a pink one and I'm wondering if it might be right to get them on a totem. My issue, however is that I can NEVER get the totem to be sturdy! It drives me crazy. I don't want to reveal the full extent of my crazy plant lady issues, but let's just say I probably spent over an hour just today trying to determine some sort of plan to MacGyver the totem safely into the pot. For example, here are two (crooked) totems in my home.

Never mind the hostas on the floor. I got them a bit too early in the season so I have indoor hostas until it warms up enough outside

I can never get a totem or even a stick straight in a pot, either. I have a few vining plants and I'm always trying to come up with ways to cope with them. Last year was the year of the tomato cages. My vines will wind around anything near them, except for the tomato cages stuck in their pots, ha!
