Thread OP

I have 2 plumeria cuttings. They've been in pots for about a year now. The roots have started growing out of the bottom so i know it needs a bigger pot. But how much bigger? I'm afraid I started it in to big of a pot to start so it grew down last year and not up. Any advice is welcome.

Typically, they recommend that you only go up one size with your new pot. This is to keep the soil from holding too much moisture and preventing the possibility of root rot. You can go up as large as you want to, if you're going to monitor how much water it receives very carefully. You also may have to stake it until it establishes itself in the new media. Just make sure it's well draining soil. I like to Use miracle grow soil, with heavy perlite and some vermiculite. Good luck!
