we think they will take their first flight and leave the nest April 29th
because the feeding is frequent today and the way the parents flying to a dogwood tree and flying back to the nest box
today..

We know there are 5 baby bluebirds..we counted the beaks and
peeped in the box standing on a tall ladder one morning..last week

It was interesting what the blue bird male and female made the nest from
materials …..that look like broom straw from somewhere
and also some of my cypress cedar shavings in my flower bed?
Any ideas what they use?

Then see the black capped chick a dee nest and I noticed it looks like its all lime green
lichen moss.. beautiful..Their babies flew this week ..

We also witnessed and it happened within 15 minutes one morning last week
5 baby wrens being called from their nest on a tall porch column of ours

I had placed chairs below the nest to break their fall and it helped
them..

some were so wobbly they came down ward to the chairs and window sill

and 2 flew straight
out to the azalea bush where the mother was calling them.

All made it and we were just so tense and worried but then filled
with joy over getting to witness their first flight!

How cool! I'm curious how the bluebird babies fared. Did they make it? Sure hope so!
