Help!! My bearded iris look terrible!! They are blooming, but some are dwarfed and the leaves are bleached and wilty. The bleaching is also spreading to tiger lily leaves.

Did you or someone next door perhaps use any Roundup or other herbicide? Looks like the affects of some chemical or other.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Did you get the same subfreezing weather we got in Nebraska a couple of weeks ago? My irises look about like that (except they aren't blooming yet) right now.

They were looking really good until we had a week's worth of overnight temperatures in the high teens and low 20's. Now, I can hardly stand to look at them. The good news is, if that's the cause of your problems as well, they'll come out of it and be fine in the long term. The bad news is, the bloom stalks are going to be messed up this year.

My guess would be some sort of chemical damage....but I don't think it was herbicide......by chance, you didn't use any "soap" solutions in the vicinity, did you ? Maybe washing the siding of the house ? The fact that the lilies are showing some of the same damage makes me doubt it is any sort of frost damage. Another thing that I would do, is dig one of the affected plants, and examine the roots. IMHO, whatever is affecting them is "root related".

Sorry to see your plants and I hope they revive quickly. From everyone's experience if this is chemical burn how will the plants be affected? I have seen some people burn their whole bed around mid April, so I'm assuming the plants can be fairly hardy?
