Here is a pic of a couple of limes from one of my lime trees. Should I worry about the brown lines? It's only on some of the fruit.

It might help to know where this tree is located. It looks like leaf miner damage, but I've never heard of them attacking the fruit. It could just be mechanical damage from the fruit rubbing against a thorn or twig, I suppose. If you have an extension Dept. , that would be the place to ask. Citrus have lots of bug damage and a few diseases in my zone.

They have become a bit worse. I cut one open, and saw no internal damage, but it was very dry. The fruit is still very hard - taking forever to ripen, hopefully that is normal.

Update. They have turned out ok, just needed some time. The brown lines don't effect the now juicy flavor!

Glad to hear it! Mine are dry, so far. I blame our lousy weather.
