My Polka Dot Begonia grows very small leaves. Please can someone tell me what am I doing wrong? I am fertilising and watering regularly, the plant is healthy and has no other issues. I am also keeping it away from direct sun light. The leaves however do not gorow bigger than 5-12cm.

Plant growth is determined primarily by light, not water, fertilizer, or pot size.

Your Begonia would do better close enough to a sunny window that it gets several hours of direct sunlight every day.

Thank you so much for your kind response. My Begonia was initially in a sunnier spot but it started getting dry ends at the end of the leaves. I will try again and put it in a sunnier place and see how it reacts. I am not having it so easy with it but I want to make it happy. ;)

The brown leaf edges were likely caused by improper watering, not sunlight. Can you post a photo that shows how it is potted?

Has it has big leaves before? There are many varities.

I have grown a similar spotted begonia with long leaves, when it's happy they get huge. But I am not sure it is the only long leafed spotted begonia out there.

I made more pictures of the leaves and how it is potted. When I bought it, it had huge leaves, but since it is with me the leaves are super small. It is growing many leaves, the edges are no longer dry but the leaves just don't grow.
As for potting, I made a photo of that too, just in a pot with holes at the bottom and normal plant soil. Should I do something special there?

As Sally pointed out, some varieties have smaller leaves than others. If it is just the new leaves that remain small, then it is due to the reduced light.

Other than improving the light and adding a little patience there is nothing more you can do. Be happy that the plant is healthy and doing well. Size doesn't always matter!

My small begonias were rescues from the larger ones beside it. They should have grown big but they were falling over and breaking.
I turned them to reface the light regularly and they started to die. Watering, sun and fertilizer were not the culprit. I was moving them and their skin was too thin. After transplant I buried them too deep in the soil to maintain upward growth. They stayed small but they didnt fall over anymore
