Edit: I was looking to see if the pictures in the database had more tan in the standards.

evelyn, the falls have a similar look and feel as 'elizabethan age', but your standards have that yellowish cast which makes them appear more tan. i wish i had 'ea' to share so you could grow it side-by-side. good luck. did you contact the grower?

Daphne ~ Yes, I contacted Sutton's as soon as I discovered that it was not Glamazon. I notice that they are not carrying it now, this year.

Thank you for your input. Maybe someone else may have an idea. Hopefully I will hear back from Sutton's. Also, I was not happy with Spring Wings.

Well, the first one is pretty, even if I can't ID it. However, I am disappointed in Spring Wings. I got an email saying that Glamazon will be replaced. No ID was offered for the first one. Differences in "cameras" was explained for Spring Wings.

It's a shame Spring Wings didn't look like the photo. In Sutton's photo, the foliage looks more blue too.

Maybe it is Montemartre?

It is definitely not Montmartre. The standards are all wrong. There are other iris similar to Elizabethan Age, such as Celtic Tartan, etc. Did you look on Sutton's site to see if they sell one similar to your NoID? Were your pics of newly opened blooms? Some, like Stage Lights, fade and then would have lighter standards.

Also, it really doesn't surprise me that Spring Wings looks purple in full sun. Most blues look purple in certain light. And even the bluer database picture has a purple cast. I think Absolute Treasure is the only one in my garden that stays blue most of the time.

Leslie ~ Yes, I immediately went to their website to see if I could find it, but to no avail. Then I checked all the luminatas in our database...still not a match.

They have Elizabeth Age listed and it sure does look like it.

I have a luminata that I have been unable to identify too. So I just enjoy it as lumi-noid now.
