Hello everyone, I've been visiting this forum quite a while now--thought I'd finally join. Smiling You've all provided much advice, interesting and funny conversations, and lovely iris pictures. Thank you!

I have about 70 named iris and a few noids. My favorite is TB Owyhee Desert. However, I also like the shorter iris, and hope hybridizers will continue to expand the selection--especially the IB's and BB's.

Irises were a childhood favorite, and I'm happy to be able to grow them now, and look forward to visiting with all of you. Smiling

Owyhee Desert

Welcome! Laurie! I think Owyhee Desert has the best scent ever! I adore that iris.

I guess I would love it too, had I not lost it to rot. Maybe again some other time. Pretty picture.

Thank you all for your warm welcome!

Leslie, I think Owyhee Desert smells kind of like rootbeer Smiling I like to bring blooms indoors to enjoy, and it's great when they have a sweet fragrance!

While there are hybridizers who specialize in tall there are others who do so in median & some who do both like the Mid-America gardens& Winterberry & Stout at Dancing Tree. check their offerings for the smaller plants.
