Thread OP

Hi there everyone. It's my first time on here and I'm new to gardening. Anyway, today's question is this:
I have an orange tree in a pot, and I planted a hanging vine in the same pot for decoration purposes, would that pose a problem for the orange tree? ( apart from the obvious consumption of nutrients) could the roots of the vine choke the roots of the orange tree?
The orange tree recently flowered and had plenty of flowers but after the flowers have fallen I've noticed some yellowing leaves and even some curling leaves. I know that it could be down to nutrient deficiency and so I've applied some liquid fertiliser ( not sure if I've applied enough though)
I'd really appreciate some insight. Thanks a lot!
