The name Opuntia echios is a synonym for O. galapageia (like all the Galapagos Opuntias), according to our database and the CoL:

Galapagos Prickly Pear (Opuntia galapageia)

I think this is the best place to put this photo and the other one pitimpinai recently uploaded from the same location:



However these plants are also Opuntias, and they are perfectly fine in the genus entry, if that is what the member who uploaded the photos prefers.
