My 2 berberis bushes have come through a hard freeze nicely. When we arrived at the cabin Mid-March to isolate during the Covid "stay-at-home" order, they both looked like dead twigs! I know they are deciduous, but the branches really looked DEAD (black and lifeless) on arrival there March 20. The branches were too thin to scratch bark for any green sign of life. I just left them alone and by April, leaves were appearing. By May they looked as shown in this photo. Smiling Purchased last June and planted them out in Gause, TX rural setting last Fall.

Oops, forgot to attach the photo. Here ya go.
