I found the Orbit Hydroseal Hose Washer Combo Pack while traveling last summer. Never got around to trying it until today. Yesterday both of my watering wands leaked so much I was soaked. No more. These did exactly what they say they were going to do. I've used regular hose washers and they were ok. These are thus far head and shoulders above anything I've ever used. I can't find them here but will be ordering a few to have at the ready. Pics below.

Wow! I've been having a horrible time getting my hoses to stop drenching me. I'm going to order these right now!

They sell them in the Home Depots around here.

That's the only place I haven't checked yet.

I went online to order them but they won't mail them so I have to make a trip to the store. That's OK I guess. I'll just look for more plants too, lol!

This product appears to reduce the hose diameter to ⅜ ", not so bad if your hose is ½ ", but this would significantly reduce the flow of my ¾ " hose.

they may have them in different sizes?

I agree; last thing I want in a hose is a flow reducer which is why I have 3/4 inch diameter hoses.
I have had hose items that do not seal well but I have found new regular washers fix the problem; some times I am too cheap and try to use old oves, over and over and over, which is stupid as I have dozens of new ones.

WELCOME TO NGA, Bill. Thanks for the info on water flow reduction. OMG. Hose woes. We all have them. I used to lug a rubber hose around the garden..all 125ft of it. What a work out. I'd get to where I had to be and the wand would start acting up. Then I'd look behind me to see all the plants I ran over with the hose.Argh! 2 years ago I switched to the metal hoses. Haven't had any problems. They're lightweight, don't squash the plants and they don't kink. If I could get a hose wand to work as well I'd be thrilled. I'll save all this information for the next wand issue.

Just out of curiosity, when you say "metal hoses" what do you mean exactly? I am always looking for a more manageable alternative to the miles of hose (lol) I lug around every year!

They are hoses made of stainless steel instead of rubber and are a bit more flexible and lighter.
