Hello everyone! We've been having 100 degree weather, and my semps are out in the direct sun (I already moved them out of the sun just in case). Is this bad for them?

In a word YES. They can't take that. In your climate I'd keep them in part shade from May-October at least. Permanently would be best. Make sure they have water but water early in the day.
Remember these plants are from the Alps! Do not think DESERT CACTI!
