Columbine (Aquilegia vulgaris) unknown cultivar. Have had these in my yard for years. They come up randomly from seed. (plants origin from my husband's Grandmother, aprox. 40 years ago.)
Well this year a bizarre Columbine came up. It has 17 scapes with loads of blooms.
It is 30 inches wide, 48 inches tall, to the top of the tallest Inflorescence it is 5'2"!!!
Do I have some self hybridized monster?

It's growing near my pond in clay! No fertilizer! I will save the seeds for sure. All my other Columbine are normal size.
