Hi everybody - new here and new to gardening/landscaping! Here's my question: how often and for how long should I water my growing Hopseed bushes? My landscaper has the drip system set to water for 50, minutes every other day, with 2 gallon emitters.

Background details: in early April I had a landscaper put in 90 Hopseed bushes 4ft apart around the perimeter of my property. One day I hope they'll be a beautiful privacy hedge! Now that we're starting summer and getting 100+ degree weather I am wondering if I need to change the irrigation/drip schedule. Obviously I want them to grow fast and full :)

Follow up question: I bought Super Thrive. The label is semi-vague on how much to use, how often, etc. Suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Hi from another Scottsdale home owner. Right now we're living in NM. I think they look fine so far. Be careful with any fertilizer. I always use them half strength. Your landscaper probably knows best about the watering,
. Just keep an eye on them. The first summer will be hard on them, but if they do ok, you'll soon have that privacy fence!

Thank you! It is cooler, but every year we have the wildfires, so our air is very smoky right now.

I have never once watered mine after the first year and it is in terrible native soil in full South facing sun against a block wall.. I've had it for about 25 years. I'm tired of the sticky berries, so I am going to dig mine out.
