Visually unappealing is right. As the old Hippie quote says, "It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature". There is a big debate about the detrimental effects of food additives and food coloring in what we eat. I wonder how it might affect the bees since their little systems are so much smaller than ours.
Food colorants are scary, no doubt about that. I think I mis-spoke above when I said it might not be so bad...
