I was wondering how to find out what type or kind of clematis you have - someone gave me a small plant and it finally opened 1 flower. I wasn't sure if it could be identified from the bloom? I know that there are 3 categories on how to care for them. Any information would be great.

Thanks,
I tried putting it in a larger pot but the plastic trellis is attached to the pot. I heard some cracking from the stems so I hope I didn't kill it but it's out now and hopefully next year it will grow bigger with more flowers
