Just curious as to which daylilly is your most prolific bloomers? Mine are just about to start and I can see already that Leebea Orange Crush has double the scapes of any others I have. My one clump of three years has 30 or so scapes, should be nice in a week or so.

Larry, yes Beautiful Edgings is also one of my most prolific too. The timing of our rains this year in southern Indiana have led to a lot of upcoming flowers.

Looking at my numbers of scapes developing so far for this year:

An unnamed seedling from a local daylily guy, it is a child of 'Esperanza X Kate Carpenter. So far it has 33 scapes.
Kanai Sensei-- I have a large clump and there must be at least 15 or scapes coming up
Stella's Ruffled Fingers-- 15 scapes
Lacey Doily-- 6 at last count
Star Spangled-- 6 at last count ) last year it had about 12-13

Also one from Walmart, that I think is Bitsy and there are at least 10 scapes on it.

It is still early here but i have scapes popping up daily.

I think I would have to say that El Desperado and Wild and Wonderful. While El Desperado preforms great every year, it seems that Wild and Wonderful does take just "little" rest now and then.

Late last summer, I divided my CA clumps. I have several pots, which just started blooming, and the fans still in the ground. The latter have put up many scapes, with the exception of the fans that got hit hard by late freezes and/or spring sickness. Those are pretty much scape-less by comparison.

I've had it for less than a year, and got it post-bloom last summer. Today's the first day I saw less than 3 blooms out of the 2 small pots I have.
Hardy hibiscus are a hobby, but daylilies are an obsession.
