That sounds like it was perfect, probably kept from being frozen solid, and kept from being too wet while cold. I'm in a similar zone to yours and I have about a half-dozen types of little sucs that have been in an always-outside mini garden since 2013. It seems that plenty of sucs can handle a little frost, and some can handle more of a freeze, as long as they are not soggy-wet when it happens.
The gray ones look like some type of Grapto- a Graptosedum hybrid would make sense, with the Sedum genes helping kick in more hardiness.
The red one may be another hybrid like Sedeveria (hybrid of Sedum & Echeveria).
The brownish ones look like Echeveria or similar hybrid thereof.
When they bloom, you might be able to get more specific / confident ID's.
