I do not know if this is the same scenario happening with Lanidell in that thread also posted today but this is my first time growing cucumbers and this is what some of my leaves (not all) look like. Any ideas?

Thanks

Some kind of bug eating the leaves. If they don't do massive damage I wouldn't worry too much. If you don't see any bugs on the leaves (likely on the underside) during the day, check late at night.

Could be caterpillars.

Earwigs also do damage like that in my experience but you'll only see them if you go out at like 3am

OK. Thanks for the responses. I guess the next question is should I spray the leaves with something like Neem oil?

Neem is pretty hit or miss in my experience and sometimes screws up early plant growth since it's an oil that likely somewhat suffocates the plant. If you continue to see damage I'd try it for sure. There are other pyrethrin based insecticides that work fairly well but are a bit more dangerous to bees (if you spray it on the flowers in particular) if Neem doesn't work.

I usually inspect mine early and late evening, for just one plant it's easy to spot bugs.
