I was visiting a relatives home and came across this cutting of some kind of aroid? Can anyone shed some light please. Thanks! I tip my hat to you.

Its probably a Philodendron...the fuzzy red on the petioles is interesting.

@plantladylin I was thinking the same but look at the second leaf in the photo...the petiole looks aberrant. It looks like it has a red fuzz on it which hederaceum should not have. But I don;t see it on every leaf. It looks to me like an older plant that has been cut a couple times and grown in very low light, hence the more elongated leaves that are not the classic heart shape

@Gina1960, You are right, now that I look closer, the leaf petiole in Emma's photo appears to be pubescent/fuzzy which doesn't match for P. hederaceum var. oxycardium. I have a couple of the Heart Leaf Philo's and the new leaves and petioles are sometimes red in color but not pubescent.

I'm glad I took those photos because that plant is extremely dusty. I'm going to take it outside right now and shower it off with the garden hose! Green Grin!

It could be the immature form of something, which is not developing into an adult form because it is not being allowed to climb. There are a number of green philos that have this undifferentiated looking juvenile leaf form that only 'announces' its truer form as it climbs and leaves get bigger.

Blushing Philodendron (Philodendron erubescens) has red leaf petioles but they are glabrous, not furry.

Philodendron (Philodendron squamiferum) has red pubescent/furry leaf petioles but I don't think the juvenile leaves are heart shaped. Shrug!

No I have squamiferum and its juvie leaves are totally different. It could be several things....I knew my Philodendron mexicanum was my mexicanum because I knew where it was supposed to have been planted, and when it came back out and started growing it was over a year before the leaves started to morph into adult form. Same with camposportoanum. Emma if they were willing to make a totem for it and let it do some climbing it might differentiate itself in some way

Thanks for the input, @Gina1960 , @plantladylin ! I have suggested to him to totem and give it more sunlight. Will update when the philodendron starts to mature. I'm very curious I'm all ears!

Thanks Emma, it's not actually a greenhouse but rather our screened pool area. I cropped my avatar photo, here's the original:
