Thread OP

Appreciate any suggestion and expertise offered. I have a family home that needs updating for elderly parents that can't upkeep any longer. I tried to help replace rockbed in photo but already full of acorns, lawn clippings, dirt, etc. Just can't keep up. Would like to change to a extremely low maintenance set up, if that is even possible. Happy to clear out all this rock. There is sun exposure for part of it in the morning and then there is a lot of tree coverage on the left side so would hope to have recommendation for low maintenance shade garden or something, ground cover ideas, etc. that would not be obstructed by tree roots, etc. as well. Located in Northern Wisconsin area, a few hours from Minneapolis-St.Paul.

Appreciate so much your knowledge on this!
