Thread OP

Old cherry tree root has grown under driveway and has invaded rose bed next to house. I need to move 5 rose bushes to access root and remove it. 2 shrub roses are at least 5' and two are 4 to 5' tall. How far back can I safely trim/cut them prior to moving? Yes, they're unkempt.

When roses are dormant you can cut as much as you want. Move them early spring or late fall.
