Hi aroid-ers!

I have a small Monstera deliciosa that I bought and neglected for a few months. A couple weeks ago a leaf unfurled but there's definitely something wrong with it. There are small white-ish yellow marks on the newest leaf and petiole, where the next leaf will emerge from. Can't really find anything similar on other threads that have the same markings. Could it be a pest infestation? I've peeked at the roots and they look fine although, the potting soil that the nursery used is not chunky like an aroid mix should be.

Well, I can;t say for SURE (and I don;t want to mislead anyone) but it looks like that petiole may have just the slightest touch of lighter colored tissue embedded in it that translated to a little pigment streaking on the new leaf. Especially the far left edge of the upper leaf blade. If it is a slight tendency to variegated, it probably won;t last. It looks kind of like the speckling pattern on the one referred to as Thai Constellation.
Your plant is a tissue cultured plant, it may have gotten a little variegated tissue in the mix.
