Thread OP
Houston, TX
Last summer, I planted a fig tree in my yard. however I have since realized that I planted it somewhere that doesn't get as much sunlight as necessary. this year I have noticed that not many figs grew and they are not ripening that quickly. and I think the cause is a lack of sunlight. can I move the fig tree to a different part of the yard? or is start not something I should do

As it's only been there a year, it would probably move fairly easily. I'd wait until autumn.
Alternatively, you could try to root a limb and have another tree.

at my house, figs do poorly due to root knot nematodes.

do you have sandy soil?
that might be the problem...
