I thought I had bookmarked the page, but I can't find it. I'm looking for the website that has an alphabetical list of Iris showing nurseries where they are available. Is anyone better organized than I and have the website handy? There are a couple I'm looking for, and have come up dry with my usual sources...

YES! Thank-you Debra!! Bookmarked it now Big Grin

Sadly, the one I'm looking for wasn't on it... I accidentally sent all of my 'The Red Douglas' to the HIPS sale last year Blinking Really annoyed with myself..
The other one I was looking for, I realized I'd already grown and removed for poor performance... Just goes to show how seductive pictures can be Whistling Hilarious!

I know it can't be ordered this year because orders are closed, but doesn't Superstition grow The Red Douglas? I think because we grow The Black Douglas & I was relieved when it bloomed this year & I could mark it.

I have the Red Douglas that I got from you, but I had to rescue it last year, and it's only one rhizome at the moment, but if you don't find a source, maybe it will increase for you by next year. I have it in a special spot where I can watch over it. It's hasn't been a rapid grower though.

Superstition does have it in this year's catalog (thank you, Lucy Smiling ), but their Facebook page shows it as sold out. Maybe you could ask Rick if he thinks he will have it next year?

I checked Bluebird Haven, and they carry it, but they are sold out, too! Sad

Yeah, I was late getting around to it. My own fault. When I had placed my Superstition order, my Iris hadn't bloomed yet, and hadn't yet realized that the Red Douglas had flown the coop. When I looked at their historic list back in the winter, there was nothing I wanted or didn't already have.

Thanks Tom.. I'm glad I got you one... Hope it increases better for you. It wasn't a fast grower here, but I wouldn't call it lazy either.. I think one of our club members has a Dykes winner bed, and I'll check with her.. If I can't locate one this year, I'll remember that you have one..
