2016 shots , first is the banner shot but I didn't get the whole cluster in frame. The second is my favorite but still had cinder blocks in the shot. So I shot a third at a different angle.

I love the intense primary color of Crocosmias. Just today a friend brought some blooms by to see if I could identify them. It almost makes me miss my Crocosmias. I hated how they would flop over melodramatically when in bloom. I may have to try them again and stake them permanently this time.

Nice cheery banner with beautiful blooms! Hurray! Lovey dubby Hurray!

@Marilyn , sadly I can not. They were suppose to be Lucifers. Which they clearly are not. Closest match I found was a couple pictures of Malahide Castle, but it is suppose to be synonymous with Comet and they are yellow with reddish orange streaks.

Kurt,

They're bright and beautiful, even though they're not Lucifers. They'll still attract the attention of the hummers and I'm sure they'll love them just as much as the Lucifers.

after some more digging , I am leaning towards , Crocosmia 'Mistral'

I do not agree with all the google pics but the majority of them do seem to match , fill the bill , tick all the boxes

https://www.google.com/search?...

and yes I have seen the hummingbird at them a few times , but I think I enjoy them even more then they do Thumbs up
