They are now jam!

It was so dry here this year that the berries had little juice. Mostly seeds. But I mixed them with some store-bought frozen strawberries to make up the amount of fruit I needed. I have found you can mix strawberries, peaches or canned crushed pineapple with nearly any fruit and make good jam.

I wish I had a better way of removing seeds, though. I press through a sieve, and it is not easy. Thumbs down

Big Grin I love picking them, eating them and I used to preserve them. We don't eat fruit spreads but rarely anymore, so I don't can them anymore. Just graze every day they are available. Lovey dubby
