Thread OP
Franklin, NC
Yesterday I was watering my recently planted day lilies from on the deck and I noticed that one of them appeared to be totally missing, so I went down to check it out and nothing was there except for a few pieces and a large hole...larger than a typical mole hole. As I was standing there looking at it, something underground started pulling one of the remaining pieces down into the hole. It ate the whole plant. Any ideas on what this could be? I thought moles only ate grubs and worms. We have a groundhog in the area. I have no idea what they eat. This is the hole.
