Thread OP

In your experience: How long do tomatoes take to ripen?
From the time they start to show the slightly-darker green color (blushing?) to the time they are completely red.

Different varieties have different times. I like my Burpee Fourth of July tomato because they really do ripen by the 4th. I've already had several BLTs! However, many varieties will take anywhere fro, 65 to 80 days to ripen. And once they get a blush on them a lot will depend on your weather. I've found they like warm days and cool nights to ripen the fastest. When it gets really hot and doesn't cool off at night they seem to slow down.

About four days longer than it takes the squirrels to find them.
I find myself most amusing.

Often frustratingly slow; or suddenly so fast you cannot used them fast enough. I tip my hat to you.
