Hello all! I've been missing again for awhile due to all the chaos going on with COVID. After 3 years of trying, I finally got a job at my favorite plant nursery, and then lost it 1 month later due to COVID. Hilarious! It was a really humbling experience that I don't think I needed or wanted, but crap happens. Anyway, I didn't stop doing plant stuffs. I decided to shove some of my houseplants into some of my animal enclosures, and uh, it looks... interesting.

This enclosure belongs to my crested gecko named Timere. There's a 'Painted Lady' philodendron, 'Burle Marx' philodendron, monstera adansonii (that is just now shooting up a leaf), 'Neon' pothos, and some type of aglaonema. They are all cuttings and have been rooting in a coco coir mixture for over a month now. I'm hoping things will start climbing the sticks and everything will look better.

This second terrarium belongs to my bold jumping spider named Parker. It's a little bit more ugly and immature. Shrug! His terrarium is only a 12x12x12 cube, so I had to get mini sized plants. There's a variegated schefflera, parlor palm, dieffenbachia, and fittonia towards the front that you can't see. I believe the dieffenbachia is getting too much sun from the window, so I'll be taking it out soon. The fittonia also looks terrible, but I think it's because of the strict watering schedule I have to keep in that terrarium. Since jumping spiders can drown easily, I have to be careful about how much water stays in there.

Anyway, I just thought I'd pop on here, talk, and do a bit of sharing! I haven't stopped outdoor gardening either, but it's been just a rough year. That said, I'm loving my caladiums right now!

Maybe we should get a second opinion...

Nice to see you, too! How's your greenhouse doing?

I meant to take pictures of some of my blooming aroids earlier this year, but never did. My alocasia frydek and a few of my caladiums bloomed, which I had never seen before!

I grew this little fella from bulb. It's supposed to be more sun tolerant, but I have it in partial shade, so I guess we won't find out. I got a pack of bulbs from Proven Winners, and I believe they were called 'Chinook'. Only two of the bulbs came up, and only this one is doing well. Glare
