Hi,

I've used numerous brands of hose water timers over the years. Am ready to buy another one. On Amazon, I read horror stories about many brands where the unit didn't shut off and flooded the yard. I just need a simple design that can be set to turn on and (hopefully) off every other day. One hose outlet. Can anyone point me to a brand that has a fail safe shutoff feature, so the unit is less likely to get stuck in the on position?

Thanks,
Bill

Not having received a response, I decided to go with the Orbit 62061Z Single-Outlet timer. I have had one for a while and it seems to be working fine.

I don't remember how many hose timers I have used over the years. All from box stores. I never had one go rogue and flood the hard. I have over 12-15 zones that are on new water system on IPad - I Phone. Called b-hyve It all programmed now thru computer system and takes the guess work out of watering my garden. So easy please. Not spendy just had to buy a few new hoses to reach all the zones as the old hoses have been run over by cars which crossed over the driveway. after a few years they get week / split and can cause flooding around if not protected. They have survived winter snows for years, but cars trucks hitting the same spots on the hoses will create leaks in even the best hoses.

Gallon timers are also good to use there are many good ones I have used over the years. Especially if your on a well and water is restricted.
I’m so busy... “I don’t know if I found a rope or lost a horse.”
