Probably neither. It appears to be a hybrid dwarf bearded iris typical of those that were produced from the 1960s to 1980s (although it certainly could have been produced outside that time period).

Dwarf bearded iris cultivars are sometimes referred to as "Iris pumila" the same way tall bearded iris cultivars are sometimes referred to as "Iris germanica". It's not accurate in either case, but continues on none the less. For some reason, it's especially common at botanical gardens and in general purpose gardening catalogs.
