Thread OP

Hi all-

I would like some advice on a problem I am having with two of my Alocasia regal shields. The leaves keep curling at the vein on these plants and I have no idea why. It only seems to happen to the newer leaves that unfurl, but don't do so properly.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated :)

Wow. Never seen that before. My first thought would be (if you had not said that this was Regal Shields) was that it was not Regal Shields. This is what none looks like

I would have thought that your plant might be Serendipity or another ALocasia that looks similar

Regal Shields has a kind of a matte leaf, which is due to its Alocasia reginula parentage. Your leaves look more glossy.

If it is truly Regal Shields and was not mislabeled, I say I have no idea...if it might actual it could be normal for that plant. Some do have these unusual morphologies in their leaf structure
