Hi, I couldnt find any info on why The trunk and branch of my plumeria are not growing up and seems to want to go down in the ground? Is anybody have seen that before? I have planted an other plumeria at the same time in the same pot and pot mix and it grow perfectly fine straight and up hehe.. sometime he get yellow leaf I know its because of not enought of too much water but not sure why it grow like that.. Thinking if anyone can help me? Thanks :)

At some point many years ago, when the plant first divided in two branches, something happened that caused this problem. Impossible to know now. Maybe there was a nutrient/water deficiency, wind damage, etc. Maybe the potting mix was unstable. Maybe not enough roots. Maybe the plant was chasing after the sun (indoor plumerias sometimes do that). And so forth. Now, gravity is contributing to the problem. And the trunk area near the first pair of branches cannot support the tree as the branches grow wider and further away from the original first branch. You could try stakes but I do not think they will help here. You could also try strapping it to something and progressively tighten it. But hmm, again, I am not sure it will fix the already bent branches. Of course, you could cut the three main branches and start each one again... plus the original trunk.

I agree with the previous answer but I think the lowest branch on the trunk may be able to be staked and straightened the wood looks green so if you're careful it might work. There are some plumerias that do have a wondering type of growth when they are young. good luck
