Thread OP

Hi everybody.

I am presently looking into some perennials for a barren patch in the garden and Red Hot Pokers are seemingly among those fitting the bill.
I'd like to have a couple information though.

#1 What commonly available cultivars have the brightest shades of red? This is a place in full sun so strong colors are needed.
#2 How long does the blooming last? Read all sorts of comments in merit and I am confused to say the least.

Another question, this time about lupins: what are the practical differences between the Russel and Band of Nobles series?

Thank you for your answers.

Most lean more towards orangey-red but I think Nancy's Red or Fiery Fred would fit the bill.

Thank you: both cultivars seem to be easy to obtain so they are definetely on the list.
