Garden Toad

This little toad was spending the day in a basket that I had placed in the garden.

Such a nice banner! The toad blends in well.

I'm really enjoying the recent banners, including yours, Valerie, that remind us that we share gardens, and indeed, all of nature, with myriad creatures, seen and unseen. I'm sure your toad visitor appreciated any flying insects your garden might have enticed to fly past its waiting tongue!

Looking forward to seeing the full photo. I agree with your sentiment (with a few exceptions ) and I want to see how your photo compares to one of mine.

What a sweet photo, Donald! Your toad looks grouchy, I don't think he wanted to be disturbed

Here is the picture of the toad in the basket. I had this basket on my front verandah, with a bird's nest and a little ceramic bird in it. The little toad decided the bird's nest made a good home for him or her.

Now that I see the full context of the toad in its nest, I'm even more enchanted with the banner. "Toadally" awesome.

I'm new to the National Gardening Association and am really enjoying myself! I'm looking around and found your banner from 2020 with the toad. What an awesome photograph! You did a great job of capturing the toad's presence in your basket! Good job!
