Thread OP

Hello, I have been told that these skinny little roots could be a bi-product of root rot? The seller had the cutting rooting in silica gel. The cutting has one small leaf and looks like she is trying to pop out another. My biggest concern is that she only has one aerial root with these tiny little hairs. I have debated on moving her to perlite and leca. Someone told me I should plant her in dirt. Others have told me to leave her be.

I currently have her in a propagation box in the bathroom for humidity. Also, she gets bright indirect light during the day and grow lights for a few hours at night. Any advice would help. She is a once in a lifetime plant for me. Thanks!

Thanks Gina, I have read most of your responses. I see that you recommend putting the plants directly in dirt. I wasn't sure if this one would be good for that, because it's been in the silica gel for so long. The sell said "too long to remember," when I asked her. That's why I was considering moving her to perlite/leca then dirt.

I have never seen these skinny root hairs before. I wasn't sure if they were rot and I should cut them off.

I hope there are others who have made recommendations, not just me. I abandoned these threads a while ago, there were just too many of them
