What should I do with this broken branch? Should I cut it off at the break.
Will it be possible to propagate the end of the branch after I cut off the rotted piece.
Should I stick it is moist soil or water if I try to propagate.

cut it off .... water less, provide more light - do not fertilize
might try rooting the stem tip - if you succeed - the plant might flower - but it will never develop a bulbous caudex

most of the stem that remains is gone ..... work with the last few inches of the stem tip (or last 2 or 3 leaves)...toss the rest
slice off any internal portions that are not white .... if no white remains, most likely wasting your time
toe in or cover stem end with moist sand - but not dripping wet ...
remember ...cuttings will never develop a caudex
