I got several peonies last year from Swenson's and they were very nice roots. I may order again if I can find space.

I ended up getting a couple of Bess Bockstoce peonies for cut flowers and a Feather Top just because I enjoy it's style :). These are my first peonies for 2021.

The Bess Bockstoce is clearly the correct version with a distinct center bulge - a number of vendors still have Rose Heart crossed-up with Bess Bockstoce. If you google 'bess bockstoce peony', you'll see that the EU has a different take on reality.

Top, it looks like Swensons also mix up Bess Bockstoce and Rose Heart. Bess B. looks correct.

Oh man, I missed that. So their Rose Heart is actually Bess Bockstoce. Glad that I am actually after Bess and have figured out what each should look like.

Interesting I can't find Rose Heart at Swensons. But I bought mine from Gold City and they have both Rose Heart and Bess B.

Garden Varieties which lists all of the herbaceous... I think that you must be using the short list - I got into that earlier, but never learned how to get back :).

They are sold out, though.
