Question regarding growing snowdrops in pots.

I've read online that growing these in pots outside all year isn't such a great thing to do since the bulbs tend to just (rot?) after being frozen and thawed (several times). Seems hard to believe to me, but I'd like to know anyway since I recently purchased two different kinds of bulbs which weren't cheap and 'd not like to loose my investment.

I have the pottted up in pots (one is in a 1L container, wrapped in burlap with a plastic dome over it that sits outside 24/7; the other is in a P9 which I bring in to the garage every evening).

Thoughts and experiences?

In zone 8b I have snow drops planted in several areas that are sheltered from heavy rains and soakers in summer. They have been a good stand by for many years faithfully blooming on cue every season.
I’m so busy... “I don’t know if I found a rope or lost a horse.”

last fall I planted three clay pots with snowdrop bulbs. Left them on the deck all winter. They are starting to bloom now. No problems.
