What is your favorite watermelon for flavor?

Production amounts don't have to be high... flavor is paramount! Big Grin

We grow Georgia Rattlesnake every year. It's been by far the best tasting watermelon we've found (but we haven't tried many!)

Okay! Hurray! Those are the two that I already grow.

Thanks!

Any others? I'm fishing around for at least one more to try... Big Grin

I have really liked one called Songria, It has done well for me for the past two seasons, getting 4 or 6 ripe melons on each vine. I have given some of these to my friends and they tell me it's by far the best tasting melon they have ever eaten.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Thanks, Tom.

At 87 days, Sangria's a good choice for consideration. Thumbs up

Sangria is about as tasty as any of the hybrid Allsweet types.I think the Open pollinated Legend is as good. My favorite is almost impossisble to find today, AU Sweet Scarlet. Of the icebox types I prefer Micky Lee and Wilson Sweet to Sugar Baby.

Thanks, farmerdill!

A company that I like to do business with has Sangria seeds. Hurray! I'll try those for sure, and maybe look for one more. Thumbs up
