Hi! I repotted my philo micans from it's original pot about ~8 days ago because I wanted to add better soil and a moss pole. I've had it for about 4-5 months now so I would say that it was fairly well acclimated to its surroundings. However, it has continued to deteriorate by having curled leaves that are either pale or probably on their way to becoming pale. I'm suspecting root rot because I did water it after (as I always do post-repotting -- please let me know if I should stop doing this) and the soil is still fairly moist even with the added soil chunk. However, I'm hesitant to dig the plant up again and cause it more stress. Do you think I should just leave it or is it best to check for rot?

The plant is in the same position it was prior to repotting and I have a humidifier near by.

Thank you!

What did the roots look like when you had it unspotted? if they were healthy then, there is no reason to think they have rotted in 8 days after one single watering, You didn't do something like wash all the soil off the roots did you? It may just need to re-establish in the new container. I always water a plant that I have just repotted. Putting roots into an absolutely zero moisture substrate and not watering the plant in is a recipe for disaster IMO

Healthy! And no I didn't wash them off or anything like that, but I did separate (Verrrrry gently. I've learned my lesson.) the different plants to organize them better around the pole. Alright, that's good to hear though. I'm just concerned because there are usually at least some signs of improvement by now for my repots. So should I just continue to watch / prune the leaves that are dying off?

Thank you for the quick reply!

I have never grown it in a container. But if you separated it and handled it enough to wrap it up around the totem maybe its just over stressed.
