Thread OP

Hi everyone

I always check all forum and afraid to post anything
This time I have some questions if anybody can help me, please!
I had purchase some Heuchera seeds online, a couple time and never germinate.

It is possible grow Heuchera from seeds? I bought from different online store. Swallotail, amazon, parkseeds. Sad

I live outside EE.UU, seeds are the only way I can have some plants.
Any Heuchera grower save seeds to propagate? Do they germinate?

Many thanks for your help

Thank You!

I tried two cultivars seeds within last 4 years. Green Spice and Coffee Bean.
I collected seeds myself. I knew that they would not come true from seeds. Green Spice seedlings resembled their parents but they were not exactly same. One of the actually look better than parent. Coffee Bean seedlings were all over the place, from yellow color to slightly purplish however only a couple of them resemble the parent but they were not as robust like the parent.
I also ordered seeds from several places, the ones ordered from China was scam. They send me pigweed seeds.
The ones from USA were actual heuchera seeds but they were not from new cultivar seeds. Seedling grew but they stay green and not attractive. So no popping colors similar to what you see all over the Web.
Also some of the new cultivars are sterilized so they would not produce flowers but no seeds.

Hi SpringC, thanks for answer.

Well, I start seeds indoor, spread on top. I live in the Caribbean. Tropical weather, maybe I stress the seeds. Big Grin
I will try again.
I also bought aquilegia seeds and was excited because the leave looks similar, after double check in the net, I took notice Hilarious!

Many thanks.
